Winter gets warm and delicious with Soupalicious

It's the competition running for the month of July, when diners at Launceston's cafes, restaurants and takeaways name the city's favourite winter soup.

Cityprom are bowled over by the response from cafes, restaurants and ready-to-eat food outlets, with 13 taking up the challenge and serving their best soup every day throughout July.

"There's been a buzz of excitement about the idea, and some great soups going on the menu,"

"There's been a buzz of excitement about the idea, and some great soups going on the menu," says Amanda McEvoy, who is member engagement officer for Cityprom.

The winning venue receives $500 worth of radio advertising.

Venues taking part display a Soupalicious poster in their window and are listed on the Winterlicious website.

Diners are invited to purchase soups throughout July and vote on the most 'Soupalicious' entry on Cityprom's Winterlicious website. Voters go into the draw for a Winter Goodies Hamper.
